One has a buttoned grey headboard dressed with crisp white linen; another is a roomy double with a leather bed, bedside cabinets and lamps; and up in the eaves a light-filled attic room looks out through tall windows to a church spire, with a shelf of books and a TV for quiet evenings. Towels are set out throughout.

The decked terrace is a genuine sun-trap, with loungers and a tree for shade — a fine spot for a drink while dinner's on. There's a garden and parking too.
