Inside

The interior is clean-lined and well kept. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, with a full drawer of quality cutlery, utensils and knives, plus a tea, coffee and sugar station ready in cork-topped jars for that first cuppa. Large patio doors pull plenty of light into the living space and connect it to the terrace outside.

Where you'll sleep

The double bedroom is calm and uncluttered, with crisp white linen on a pine bed, a sheepskin rug underfoot, fitted wardrobe storage and a wall-mounted heating and cooling unit to keep it comfortable year-round. A neatly finished cloakroom adds a round mirror, a navy half-wall and a contemporary basin.

Step outside

The paved terrace runs along the glazed front of the house, giving you somewhere to sit out with the open Holm countryside in front of you and the peace that comes with it.

The setting

Holm sits on the south-east of the Mainland, a short drive from Kirkwall and well placed for the Churchill Barriers, the Italian Chapel and the East Mainland beaches. It's a quiet, rural base for getting around Orkney at your own pace.
