Smithfield Hotel

The Smithfield is the kind of solid, stone-built village inn that has anchored Dounby for generations. Dounby sits at the crossroads of the West Mainland, which puts you within easy reach of the big sights. The Ring of Brodgar, the Standing Stones of Stenness and Skara Brae are all a short drive away, and on a clear winter night this is genuinely good country for the Northern Lights. It's a practical, central base for touring Orkney.
